1899 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-63 Cameo (NGC). Deep orange gold with frosted devices and mirrored fields. Not heavily marked but with enough hay marks in the fields to warrant the grade. Just 99 Proofs of the date were struck, a modest amount compared to most of the dates to follow in the denomination.
