FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. Ex Cheyenne Collection, as noted on the insert. This is a truly gorgeous, high end, watery reflective GEM example of the first in a series of Proof-only dates. Chrome-like steely silver mirrors are exceptionally flashy, especially when rotated in a light. Lovely toning is dusted on both sides, which does not dull the mirrors. Well struck devices stand out brilliantly against the light lilac-pewter tone on both sides. The eye appeal quite nice. Only 1541 Proofs were struck. PCGS 42, NGC 44, CAC 13. Only 3 are graded PR65+ and only one has ever sold in auction realizing $8,813 in our March 2019 Regency Auction. Scarce finer, this highly alluring GEM is great for a type or date set. Cert.
