Here is a beautiful example of this popular 1839 Red Book variety. Very high end for the date, this coin displays exceptional glossy surfaces. Medium chocolate brown color blends with olive accents and about 10% of the original mint RED color clinging to the devices. The surfaces have a vibrant satin luster imparting a strong eye appeal. Well struck and beautiful. Among the FINEST certified. PCGS 9, NGC 1, CAC 6. Prior to this coin selling, one sold in the July 2015 sale of the Twin Leaf Collection for $8,813.
