- Glenna Goodacre was the designer of the obverse of the coin, featuring Sacagawea and her infant Jean Baptiste. Goodacre asked for her payment to be issued in the dollars that she designed. She received 5,000 of these pieces that were specially made, as a surprise, with a special satin finish. Well-struck and flawless, the insert also carries an autograph by Ms. Goodacre who passed away in April 2020.
