Breen Die State I. Steely olive-copper surfaces are warmly and evenly toned. There are a few light scratches on Liberty's portrait, and the overall texture on both sides is microgranular, but these features are well blended into the toning and easily overlooked during in-hand viewing. An EAC grade of VG7 nearly aligns with the PCGS-certified grade, nonetheless, and places this coin at CC#7 (tied) for the Sheldon-107 dies in the Bland census. Semi-glossy on both sides with softness around the obverse periphery, yet appreciably bolder detail remains throughout the reverse. A small, shallow rim bruise at 3 o'clock on the obverse serves as a useful identifier for provenance purposes.
