Description du lot: 1850-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-4. Weak C. AU-53 (PCGS). CAC. This handsome honey-rose example is appreciably smooth with a soft satin texture. The detail is generally bold to sharp, but as designated by PCGS this is a Weak C example (Winter-4) with the mintmark faint, although still partially discernible at most viewing angles. The mintmark is more or less faint on all known examples of this variety, in fact, since the C was lightly punched into the reverse die.
