Tompkins Die Stage 3/4. Handsome toning shows a gentle mottling of sandy-gray, steely-olive and pale mauve that provides an attractively original appearance for both sides. Faint adjustment marks (as made) in the center of the obverse will require magnification to discern; there are no troublesome circulation marks. Boldly defined in most areas, and with soft undertones in vivid rose and powder blue delivering further eye appeal, this is a desirable Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle half dollar at the assigned grade level.
