1844-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-103, Die Pair WB-22. Rarity-4. Doubled Date. AU-58 (PCGS). CAC. Portions of four previous digits are obvious, directly above the corrected date location. A well struck coin with a deep layer of even olive-brown patina across both sides. A trace amount of wear on Liberty's head, and a small abrasion in the right obverse field, where a handful of wispy hairlines are also noted, keep the piece from a Mint State grade. Still a scarce and highly desirable example of this rare die variety. Population: 1; 2 finer. PCGS# 6247. Population: 1; 2 finer.
