Description du lot: 1796 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-5, BB-65. Rarity-4. BB Die State II. Large Date, Small Letters. VF-35 (PCGS). Bright silver centers and attractive with slighter deeper gray around the rims of both sides. The surfaces are free of any significant marks, but do show the usual contact from circulation and handling. Early die state with the lump at the IC of AMERICA just forming, rising up from the field surface as the bubble in the die steel collapsed as more coins were struck. Usual reverse die rotation of about 30 degrees counter clockwise. A desirable example of this elusive date and type. PCGS# 6861. Provenance: From the Carl and Josephine Legacy Collection.
