- Description du lot
- Obv: The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA above and the date 1884 below a hand-cut perforation. Rev: The denomination ONE CENT above and an inverted shield flanked by two laurel sprigs below the perforation. A minimally toned, overall brilliant example of Eastman Johnson's "holey" cent design. Approximately two dozen examples are known for the scarce Judd-1721 type struck in nickel, and this is certainly currently available to specialists.
