1870 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. WB-101. MS-65+ (NGC). A wonderfully fresh gem 1870 half dollar, which like the rest of the coins from the George Dyer Collection were housed in an old collector's cabinet for not years or decades, but <em>generations. </em>Pale, pastel blue iridescence with hints of gold, teal and crimson dust both sides of this frosty beauty. Well deserving of the ""+"" assigned by NGC, this coin is alone at that grade, bested only by a single example at the MS-67 level.
