Lot Description

Undated (Circa 1663-1672) St. Patrick or Mark Newby Halfpenny. Vlack 5-D, W-11540. Copper. Reeded Edge. Medium Obverse Letters. VF-25. 149.3 grains. Excellent sharpness over granular medium brown surfaces. Some old scrapes are seen on the king's head, some dark verdigris on both sides. Splash is round and dark, centered below crown. Some damage on the rim at 4:30 on reverse appears to be post-striking. PCGS# 46. Provenance: From the Ted L. Craige Collection.
