1857-O Seated Liberty Quarter. MS-63 (NGC). Snow-white and frosty on the devices, and the fields are slightly reflective as the dies were well polished at time this piece was struck. Curiously the strike is sharp at the centers but quite soft below the date and the area opposite on the reverse. Minor handling evidence in the delicate fields and a few scuffs are noted on the eagle's wings. As nice as this date is ever found, and a prize for the specialist in New Orleans coinage or the Seated Liberty series.
