1888 Gold Dollar. Proof-68 Cameo (NGC). CAC. 1849-D Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter 11-M. High Date. AU-58 (NGC). One of the finest seen from the modest mintage of 1,079 pieces, and with magnificent eye appeal. The central devices are boldly frosted by the dies, while the mirror fields fall away and create the high contrast. No signs of copper toning whatsoever and a strong loupe is needed to find even faint evidence of contact. One of the three finest graded by NGC in all three categories, and worthy of the most advanced collection.
