1876-S Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-102. Tail Hub Variety I. Very Small S. MS-66 (NGC). Vivid rainbow-colored iridescence encircles much of the obverse periphery. The reverse border is also toned, albeit more irregularly in mottled cobalt-blue and olive-russet colors. Brilliant in the centers, with a sharp strike and vibrant luster that will further endear this coin to Gem-quality type collectors. Rare this nice, both for the type as a whole and the individual issue.
