Description du lot
1833 Classic Half Cent. C-1, B-1, the only known dies. Rarity-5. Proof-64 BN (PCGS). CAC. OGH. Deep chocolate-brown with reflective fields, satiny motifs and a broad array of varied neon-blue and rose iridescence. Sharply struck, as should be expected from a heavily clashed reverse die. An obverse die crack unites stars 3 through 7, and a natural planchet lamination, as struck, can be seen at 11:30, downward into Liberty's curls. Choice for the grade, and a very pretty piece.

Numismatic Reflections by Q. David Bowers
A really choice proof with the CAC sticker. Our present Rarities Night sale is graced with quite a few CAC coins, and it would be appropriate to headline them all. However, this imprimatur stands tall and proud on its own and adds to the desirability of any coin earning it.
