Description du lot
Undeniably choice for the grade, with or without a loupe, and a sharp and appealing coin throughout. The frosty silver-gray centers yield quickly to a palette of blue, rose, gold, and crimson iridescence, especially in the protected areas. Other than some nominal hairlines, this specimen fared well during its brief stay in pocket change. Two tiny lines in the dentils below the existing date account for the variety attribution. One of 5,500 examples of the date struck for circulation purposes, though few actually saw commercial use -- well-circulated examples of the date are scarcer than high-grade pieces in today’s hobby. A lot of coin for the grade. Housed in an older-style green label PCGS holder with frame. PCGS #6364 Pedigree:
