Impressive, CHOICE AU quality surfaces are highly lustrous, retaining much original mint brilliance. The details are very well impressed and are brought out by a lovely orange gold coloration. There are a few tiny scattered ticks and marks but they do not detract from the great overall eye appeal. The only New Orleans mint Type II gold dollar, and a popular issue thus. PCGS 87, NGC 142, CAC 17. This lovely coin was the most recent PCGS AU55 CAC example to sell, realizing $2,820 in our July 2021 Regency Auction.
