Description du lot: Lot 409 1854 N-23 R2 PCGS graded MS62 Brown.Lustrous light to medium steel brown mixed with tiny splashes of reddish brown toning, especially on the reverse. A few tiny peeps of mint red remain visible on the obverse. A speck of darker toning midway between star 1 and the bust and a tiny planchet flake on the rim under the 1 can help identify this cent. MDS, die state b. The fine die lines of the earlier state are gone and there is a clashmark up from the right top of the T in CENT. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#12 in the Grellman census.
