BB-108, B-13. Regarded as R-2. Here is a pleasing, original XF early dollar. Good definition remaining in the devices despite the moderate wear. Russet-olive, lilac-tan, and sky blue-slate blend over problem free surfaces. We note some minor crossing planchet adjustment marks at the center of the reverse, but they do not detract. We submitted this coin to CAC, and we are not exactly sure why this one did not receive its green bean; even with a strong glass we cannot find anything that would preclude it. PCGS 22, NGC 0. The last example of this variety to sell in auction in PCGS XF40 realized $3,290 in January 2016. The current PCGS Price Guide is $4,250.
