EF 1878-CC Trade $1. 1878-CC Trade $1. EF-40 PCGS. This attractive medium gray specimen offers trace luster in the protected areas. One of 97,000 examples of the date struck in the swan song year for circulation-strike trade dollars – it was Proof-only in Philadelphia this year, and would remain that way in 1879 and later years when the circulation strikes ceased to be. Definitely the key issue among the six consecutive years trade dollars were produced in Nevada’s mint, 1873-1878. PCGS #7047
