Lot 70 1828 C-3 R1 13-Star Obverse PCGS graded AU55.Glossy tan and medium brown with darker steel brown and chocolate toning on the devices. Mint frost covers the fields and protected areas. No roughness, only a few light contact marks. A thin scrape on star 7, a tick on the neck, and a tiny tick just right of the center dot on the reverse are the notable marks and none of them is significant. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The spine from the leaf tip over HA in HALF is long and sharp. Our grade is AU50. Estimated Value $150 - UP Ex Front Range Coin-Raymond Gatzke Collection.
