- Very low mintage of 510 coins. The 1873-78 Trade dollar proofs are much scarcer than the 1880-83 (proof only) issues and are much harder to find. The present coin has nicely toned fields with frosty, white devices. Despite some light hairlines, it easily retains the deep cameo effect.
