- 1908-S Barber Dime. MS-67 (NGC).
A richly toned Superb Gem that reveals the most vivid colors discernible with the aid of a strong light. Satiny in texture with a sharp strike, both sides are remarkably smooth for this conditionally challenging issue. A median rarity in the Mint State Barber dime series, the 1908-S is scarce in all grades from MS-60 to MS-65. The issue is rare any finer and equally as challenging to locate in the highest Mint State grades as the (much) lower mintage 1915-S, as well as the 1904, 1906-D and 1909-O. This is a particularly noteworthy Condition Census example.
PCGS# 4849. NGC ID: 23FA.
NGC Census: 1; 0 finer.
Provenance: From the Frog Run Farm Collection.
