Description du lot
"1783" (Circa 1820) Washington Draped Bust Copper. Baker-5, Vlack 21-Q, W-10430. Rarity-5. With Button. VF-35 (PCGS). 109.4 grains. A visually pleasing example of a scarce variety. Deep chocolate-brown surfaces reveal some scattered marks under low magnification, none of them overbearing in scope. Obverse clash mark at N of WASHINGTON and the following ampersand, die crack from rim between E and N of INDEPENDENCE to the back of Washington's head, another from rim upward across 1 of date and the drapery folds to Washington's neck and jaw line; the reverse die state is apparently perfect.
