FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION Brilliant and blazing RED luster glows brightly over both sides of this sharply struck late date Coronet large cent. The surfaces are vivid, vibrant and devoid of serious contact marks. There are a few microscopic flecks and old spots that are seen on obverse and reverse, but they have little impact on the eye appeal. PCGS 74, NGC 40, CAC 9. The most recent example sold in our May 2021 Regency Auction for $7,050. The Price Guides again have yet to catch up with auction records.
