The deeply lustrous silver surfaces exhibit a nuance of deep orange-gold in the dentils on both sides. Somewhat prooflike throughout, especially so on the reverse; the vamworld.com website notes these dies were lapped and polished to remove clash marks and that many examples of this scarce variety are semi-prooflike in appearance.
