1844 Braided Hair Cent. N-7. Rarity-2. Grellman State-a. AU-53 (PCGS). Light olive brown with small areas of steel on both sides. Under magnification, the reverse is gently flecked throughout. Scattered small marks commensurate with the assigned grade, and a tiny spot nestled in the hair. Glossy and pleasing overall. The early die state.
