This offering is will delight both 20th century gold collectors and old holder enthusiasts. The coin is a handsome BU example of the elegant High Relief Saint-Gaudens double eagle, sharply struck with warm color in a blend of olive and medium golden-wheat. Wispy handling marks and some muting to the satin finish explain the MS-61 grade, but luster quality is generally pleasing at this level, and none of the marks are singularly distracting. Housed in an expertly preserved Generation 1.2 PCGS rattler holder.
