- FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION This is a very pleasing GEM example of this R-7- Liberty nickel pattern by Longacre. Struck from the same dies as the J-1051 above, this one struck in aluminum with a plain edge. The planchet had many flaws, including a small lamination on the reverse rim. Highly reflective surfaces shine through a dusting of pale iridescent tone that attests to the originality of this well struck rarity. NOTE: There are a number of scuffs on the holder, not on the coin. PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. This coin last sold in June 2014 for $4,700 and the current Collectors Universe value is listed at $5,500. A single PR66 is finer and it has not been seen in auction for 15 years. This is a rarity worthy of a strong bid. Cert. Number 25113711 PCGS # 61311.00
