Sharply defined, crusty and richly toned EF quality for this key date San Francisco Mint Liberty Seated quarter from the earlier years of the classic Old West. The surfaces are a tad rough in texture when viewed with the aid of magnification, but are free of significant marks and present as uncommonly smooth for the issue during in-hand viewing. One of only 20,000 pieces produced, the vast majority of which were worn out and eventually lost in circulation. A straight-graded example in any grade above Choice VF is a rare find in any market.
