Lot Description

Ten percent or a little more of the surface still retains a bit off coppery red hue, succumbing otherwise to attractive, original brown. The dies brought up three and a half diamonds, indicative of a fairly mundane strike for 1869. Unusual for just MS-63, neither side displays any noticeable abrasions, a single, minute nick beneath the eye being the sole intrusion that a decent loupe can find.
