Description du lot
1841-C Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. AU-55 (NGC). Warmly patinated in medium golden-rose, both sides offer uncommonly sharp detail for a lightly circulated Charlotte Mint gold coin. Simply put, the 1841-C is a very scarce quarter eagle in all grades with only 10,281 pieces produced. Survivors probably number only 125-175 coins, and Doug Winter (Gold Coins of the Charlotte Mint: 1838-1861, 2008 edition) also states that the 1841-C is the rarest Charlotte Mint quarter eagle in high grades after only the 1842-C. An offering that is sure to catch the eye of advanced Southern gold enthusiasts. PCGS# 7721. NGC ID: 25GE. Click here for certification details from NGC.
