1815 Capped Bust Quarter. B-1, the only known dies. Rarity-1. AU-58 (PCGS). This handsome example exhibits mottled rose-apricot undertones to an overlay of warm, even, pewter gray patina. Boldly to sharply defined throughout with plenty of satiny mint luster remaining to tempt the viewer as the surfaces rotate under a light. Although this single die marriage issue is plentiful in an absolute sense, high quality Large Diameter Capped Bust quarters of all dates and varieties are rare from a market availability standpoint.
