1871 Pattern Seated Liberty Quarter. Judd-1103, Pollock-1239. Rarity-7+. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). Regular die trials striking of the 1871 Seated Liberty Quarter. Struck in aluminum with a reeded edge.<br />     Even rarer than its copper counterpart Judd-1102, this aluminum die trials striking has an extant population of only two or three coins per the website uspatterns.com. An exquisite Gem with bold field-to-device contrast, both sides are bright, untoned and free of all but a few trivial blemishes that are largely confined to the right-obverse field.
