FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION This is quite the lovely and original GEM. Watery mirrored fields dance in the light, beaming through the "dusky" multi-hued iridescent toning that graces the surfaces. The strike is bold and sharp with wonderful definition on both sides. The eye appeal is quite pleasing. Only 800 Proofs were struck. PCGS 13, NGC 12, CAC 8. The last PCGS/CAC coin sold back in March 2015! More recently two non-CAC PCGS PR66s sold for $4,320 and $5,160. The current PCGS Price Guide is listed at $4,750. Just half a dozen are graded finer in the designation, making this a great coin for any one looking for a high grade and attractive, CAC approve GEM!
