Seldom do Mint State survivors of this challenging Denver Mint issue possess the generally bold striking detail and smooth satin surfaces that characterize the present example. So well produced and preserved is this piece, in fact, that were it not for minor softness to the bison's head and foreleg PCGS may have returned a full Gem Uncirculated grade.
