Virtually untoned, wearing a natural silver-gray color, this example show am impressive grade level for this tough Morgan dollar issue. This is a lustrous and satiny near-Gem with very smooth surfaces for an issue that is among the more heavily abraded Mint State Morgan dollars. No significant contact marks to note, only light scuffing that holds back this example from a Gem Mint State grade. From a mintage of just 400,000 pieces, a fact that only adds to the appeal of this key date coin.
