Bert Davies Collection. Snow-8, FS-901, reverse die clashed with seated quarter. Looping raised lines on the reverse affirm this highly popular variety, thought at one time to be "very rare" but given that the present cataloger has personally cherry-picked at least a couple, the variety may not be so scarce today. This is a terrific example for MS-61 as the quality would readily meet choice parameters aside from just a few too many small nicks. Noticeable luster and gorgeous color should peel away inhibitions when it comes time to cross the auction block.
