RARE with so much contrast! Deeply mirrored fields contrast boldly with frosted central devices. Surfaces are mostly white with rich golden toning towards the rims. Light contact marks are appropriate for the assigned grade. Only 1,000 were struck. PCGS 10, NGC 7. Listed in the PCGS Price Guide at $850. Last auction record was for a CAC approved example in October 2015 for $1,292. A delightful brilliant proof of the first year of the legend on the obverse type, and a nice fit for a date or type set.
