Losbeschreibung
1906-O Barber Quarter. MS-65 (NGC). Brilliant satin-white surfaces are fully lustrous with an impressively sharp strike for a New Orleans Mint Barber quarter. Light swelling (a.k.a. "mumps") on Liberty's neck and jaw are typical of the issue, but all design elements are sharply to fully rendered. The commencement of coinage operations at the Denver Mint in 1906 may have resulted in a slight decrease in commercial need for the 1906-O coins. For whatever reason, a greater number of Mint State coins survived, although the vast majority of coins saw extensive commercial use. Provenance: From the Larry H. Miller Collection. NGC Census: 22; 15 finer (MS-68 finest). PCGS# 5644. NGC ID: 23Z7. Click here for certification details from NGC.
