1897 Barber Quarter. Proof-66+ Cameo (NGC). With beautiful toning in peripheral cobalt blue that gives way to mottled reddish-rose and gold central toning, the latter more pronounced on the obverse. Conditionally scarce for one of the best produced and near-universally attractive Proof issues of the Barber quarter type, status the 1896 shares with the 1897 and 1898.
