1851 Braided Hair Cent. N-26. Rarity-5-. Grellman Die State c. MS-64+ RB (PCGS). CAC. Considerable mint red which shows minor fading on the obverse and reverse. Reasonably sharp for the strike and the surfaces have minimal handling marks. Both dies show field wear from prior coinage, and a strong loupe will note a couple of minor specks. For identification there is a minor bagmark at the top of Liberty's neck on the leading edge, and a few other shallow ticks behind her mouth. A formidable rarity at this grade level.
