1884 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-60 (PCGS). Partially brilliant with blushes of rose and lilac. Nice eye appeal for the assigned grade. This piece is prooflike with sharp satiny motifs and glittering mirror fields. Boldly struck in all particulars. From a tiny mintage of just 1,950 circulation strikes; of these, PCGS has certified a scant 75 examples in all grades combined. A 19th-century rarity for the specialist.
