Description du lot: From our May 2021 sale of the Sommelier Collection, where it was described as: "Both sides of this uber-GEM 85-CC DMPL Morgan has a full 8"+ depth of mirrors, giving it an impressive CAMEO contrast. The eye appeal is truly spectacular. The mirrors are deep and beaming, crystal clear and ultra clean with only the most subtle tick or two seen with the aid of a strong glass. The fields are impressively reflective and icy smooth. Ms. Liberty and the details are razor sharp in strike and have a rich, creamy white frost. Virtually untoned, both obverse and reverse are blazing with just a touch of blue and red at the lower reverse periphery. The eye appeal is otherworldly--we LOVE the look, and know that even if you are the pickiest of old time DMPL collectors, you will fall in love instantly also." PCGS 244, NGC 62, CAC 36. There are 18 in MS65+ DMPL. This coin brought $5,405 in May 2021 on a $4,000-$5,000 estimate. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $5,750 and that doubles for a PCGS MS66 DMPL CAC.
