1849 Braided Hair Cent. N-22, 6. Rarity-1. MS-65 BN (NGC). Dominant medium brown patina to both sides, direct lighting calls forth faint remnants of rose-orange color around a few of the design elements, especially on the reverse. The focal features are well struck and sharp, the surfaces satiny and smooth with just a few faint carbon flecks in the left obverse field. Noyes Die State B/C. PCGS# 1886.
