Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-134 (R.4), "square base 2". On the reverse, an extra line shows off right of the shield, but as usual for 1827, a nondescript obverse offers little help for attribution. Powdery beige patina and extensive luster endow the coin with sparkling effect superseded only by occasional light flecks of color. An excellent strike suffers minor weakness at a few obverse stars and perhaps also at a few lower leaves on the reverse.
