1887 Three-Dollar Gold Piece. MS-61 PL (NGC). Mostly brilliant surfaces with blushes of violet. The motifs are frosty and the fields are nicely reflective. From a tiny mintage of just 6,000 circulation strikes. Survivors designated as "PL" are very rare as attested by the NGC Census data.
