1858-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1. AU-58 (PCGS). Deep khaki-gold with some orange highlights and traces of mint luster in certain recesses of the design elements. Nicely struck for the date with some honest wear the only softening of the devices. From a mintage of 38,856 pieces, making for a date that is available to some degree in AU and finer, as here.
