1722 Rosa Americana Penny. Martin 2-C, W-1264. URS-9. UTILE DULCI. EF-45 BN (NGC). This is a golden-brown example that offers plenty of bold definition in the presence of overall light wear. What appears to be a minor, extremely shallow planchet clip is evident at the upper right obverse; scattered carbon flecks are insignificant for a circulated Colonial era coin of this type.
